His core areas of expertise include Competition Law, Corporate and M&A, Financing, Real Estate, General Commercial, and Intellectual Property. Remus has a proven track record of success in industries such as FMCG & Retail, Media & Advertising, Telecom & IT, Healthcare, and Oil & Gas.

Over the course of his career, Remus has advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, including structuring and executing intricate deals across a range of sectors. He has also provided strategic guidance on business transfers and transactional matters. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in investment projects, including the development of greenfield and brownfield initiatives throughout Romania.

Remus possesses in-depth expertise in merger control, designing and implementing diverse business models—both horizontal and vertical— in alignment with competition legislation. He has successfully navigated regulatory clearances for transactions involving competition and foreign direct investment regulations.

Prior to joining Iablonschi & Asociații, Remus founded and managed his own practice, which was affiliated with a leading international professional services network. He also served as the Legal & Compliance Partner for Romania and as an Executive Board Member for the same organization.

Academically, Remus holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Administration and a postgraduate diploma in EC Competition Law from King’s College London. He is a qualified member of the Bucharest Bar.
